What is a Medical Assistant?

A medical assistant is a healthcare worker who helps doctors and nurses by performing both clinical and administrative tasks. They might take vital signs, prepare you for exams, give injections, draw blood, schedule appointments, and update medical records. Medical assistants usually work in clinics, doctor’s offices, and other outpatient settings, helping things run smoothly and making sure patients feel cared for.
